Our local community project is with Teech Foundation, Inc. Which will contribute computer services for both youth and adults. These services are at two locations in the city of Chicago. At Bethany Union Church, recovery support services are provided for adult clients and computers are used for workforce development purposes; clients develop resumes and apply online for jobs. Parkway Garden’s Christian Church has a much larger computer center and utilizes their computers for youth in before and after school programs as well as summer tutoring programs. Youth who utilize the computer center primarily live in Parkway Garden’s Housing Development and attend the local elementary and high school. Currently, volunteers are utilizing the computers to teach youth movie making skills.
Our International Outreach was again with an organization called LifeBuilders Ministries. In June of 2018 we made our second trip to Lagos, Nigeria. There we spent several days assisting in many areas of this organization. TBR WorldWide not only donated additional computers, but also helped maintain and refurbish the previous ones donated. A full week was dedicated to adding and setting up computers within the school itself for easy access for the teachers.
